Workshop Description
OKA is pleased to announce a new workshop collaboration with the Association for Psychological Type (APT). Piloted in the spring of 2008 to great feedback, "Using Type Lenses" is an exciting workshop that illustrates how a number of two-letter type combinations, or type lenses, can be used to make psychological type knowledge accessible and actionable.
Temperament, Function Pair, Attitude Pair and the Quadrants have all proved rich and powerful lenses for illuminating the influence of psychological type on behavior. Through group exercises, lecturettes, small group discussions and case studies, this experiential workshop—delivered by Hile Rutledge and Katherine Hirsh—explores each of these lenses and the individual or organizational issues that each is best equipped to address.
Course Objectives
-
Review and discuss the behavior, motivation and communication styles associated with four type lenses—Temperament, Function Pairs, Attitude Pairs and the Quadrants
-
Experience the power of each type lens in small group exercises
-
Evaluate the personal and professional applications best achieved with each lens
-
Practice analyzing type tables to predict group needs and better hone your message and communication through small group work and case studies
